Established in 1984, Meca-Trade Oy is an import company that has been among the largest raw material suppliers for the Finnish steel and foundry industries for several decades now. In addition, we provide services to the mechanical engineering and mining sectors and supply accessories for surface and heat treatment and mold production. Our operations also cover the other Nordic countries and Central Europe. In addition, we offer our customers metallurgical and technical support in collaboration with our suppliers.
In 2007, JP-Ferroset and Meca-Trade merged together and our company as it is today was formed. Our headquarters are located in Pori, and we have sales offices in Jyväskylä, Lahti, Espoo and Porvoo as well as Jönköping in Sweden. We have warehouses in various parts of Finland and Sweden to enable us to perform seamless just-in-time material deliveries in all of our operating areas. Our representatives around the world are top experts in their own fields, creating a strong foundation for close long-term collaboration.

Most of our raw materials for the foundry and steel industry are REACH-registered.

Meca-Trade Oy was granted the ISO 9001 certificate in 2019, and since then, we have systematically developed our operations to be an even more dynamic operator in our sector.
Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is a European Union regulation. Its main goals are to protect the environment and human health, boost the competitiveness of the EU’s chemical industry sector, promote the development of alternative methods for assessing the hazards of substances (reducing animal testing), and to guarantee the free movement of goods within the EU.
