Supplying raw materials


  1. Introduction

Meca-Trade aims to be a responsible corporate citizen and a trustworthy partner, believing sustainable andethical practices create long-term value for Meca-Trade and its stakeholders. We will comply with ourstandards of integrity under all circumstances, and we expect the same from our suppliers. Our suppliers mustcomply with this Supplier Code and expect the same from their suppliers. Supplier must comply with allapplicable laws and regulatory requirements.
Meca-Trade code of conduct is based on UN Global Compact initiative and International Labor Law. As part ofthe supplier selection process, Meca-Trade conducts due diligence on its suppliers to identify and managepotential risks.

2. Human Rights

2.1 Health and Safety:
2.1.1 Supplier shall provide safe and healthy working conditions. All employees must be given health andsafety training and necessary safety equipment to perform their task safely.
2.2 Labor Rights:
2.2.1 All labor shall be voluntary. Supplier shall not withhold wages, identity cards or other Importantdocuments.
2.2.2 Supplier shall not use child labor in their own operations or in their supply chain. Follow the minimumage set by local laws or International Labor Organization´s definition of minimum age of 15 years, whicheveris higher.
2.2.3 Supplier shall pay reasonable and fair wages and benefits in accordance with relevant standards.
2.2.4 Supplier shall respect employees right to join (or not join) a trade union.
2.2.5 Supplier shall treat all the employees equally and with respect at all times.
2.2.6 Supplier shall not tolerate harassment or any physical, sexual, or verbal abuse.
2.3 Conflict Minerals:
Supplier shall not source minerals and metals, such as tin, tantalum, tungsten or gold that contribute to ongoing conflicts.

3. Working with integrity

3.1 Supplier, and anyone acting on Meca-Trade’s behalf, shall not ask for nor accept bribes or make a facilitation payment. Supplier shall act in accordance with laws and regulations concerning bribery.3.2 Meca-Trade representative shall not be offered gifts or hospitality, other than of modest value. Meca-Trade representatives travel expenses shall be paid by Meca-Trade. 3.3 Supplier shall be aware of the risks it is subject to and notify Meca-Trade immediately if the risk might have an impact on Meca-Trade´s business. Supplier shall avoid the conflicts of interest with Meca-Trade.

4. Environment

Supplier shall comply with all relevant environmental laws and regulations. Supplier shall commit to improve its environmental awareness and to reduce the environmental impact of the product or service throughout the life cycle.

5. Fair Business Practices

5.1 Supplier shall respect the intellectual property rights of Meca-Trade and other parties. 5.2 Supplier shall protect Meca Trades confidential information against unauthorized use or disclosure. 5.3 Supplier shall follow the laws and data protection regulations, when collecting, storing, and using, personal data. 5.4 Supplier shall comply with all the applicable competition laws and not enter into anti-competitive agreements or engage in concerted practices with competitors, suppliers, customers, or other business partners. 5.5 Supplier shall inform Meca-Trade immediately if the supplier becomes subject to international trade sanctions or restrictions, or if the supplier becomes subject to a sanctions compliance investigation.
